ZANU PF Of Old Emerges In Kadoma, Bloody Scenes As Bi-Election Is Disrupted At Rimuka

Own Correspondent|The ruling ZANU PF party on Saturday exhibited its old characteristic of violence on voters whenever it becomes imminent that they will be losing an election.

The ruling party supporters in three cars armed with machetes brutally attacking suspected opposition MDC supporters who were thronging polling stations evidently to vote for the opposition party at the just ending Kadoma Ward 2 council by election.

ZimEye.com eyewitnesses interviewed in a live streaming of the violence incident indicated that at least two people were seen being brutally attacked by the gang using machetes shedding blood in the process.

The witnesses could not immediately disclose the condition of the two MDC supporters.

The seat fell vacant after MDC-Alliance councillor Michael Gore was jailed allegedly for inciting public violence during the January protests.

Polling stations in the election have just closed as at the time of writing and results are expected by midnight Saturday.
