Four Zimbabwean students have been arrested in India after a fight broke out.
The incident took place near Ankhol village in Gujarat late Tuesday night, police confirmed. The accused were identified as Tapiwanashe, Tafadzwa Shumba, Zoi and Vatidaidze Zanze.
The complainant was Tanmay Tamboli, a friend of the Zimbabweans. When he visited them an argument broke out and one of them hit Tampoli with a stone. Tamboli had to be taken to a hospital. The four students were booked under IPC section 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons).
They were produced in the local court in Wednesday evening and sent in judicial custody.
The accused studied at a private university at Limda village. The Zimbabwean embassy has been informed about their arrest, police said.-IndiaTimes
