Highlanders coach Hendrik Pieter de Jongh believes Prince Dube’s straight red card against ZPC Kariba on Wednesday was a bad call by referee Tatenda Bvekerwa.

The striker was expelled from the game on the stroke of halftime after he stamped on goalkeeper Future Sibanda.

Speaking after the game, tha gaffer said Bvekerwa made mistake in giving Dube the red card.

“Dube’s red was totally wrong, nothing happened. It is unbelievable … big mistake from the referee,” said De Jongh, according to NewsDay.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw with Kariba’s Samuel Makawa and Bosso defender Peter Muduhwa scoring in either half.Soccer 24
