CAF Condemns Giant National Sports Stadium
3 December 2019
Farai Dziva|The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has barred the National Sports Stadium and Mandava from hosting it’s matches.
The two stadiums, owned by the Ministry of Public Works and FC Platinum Football Club respectively, failed inspections conducted by CAF last month.
The move will be welcomed by Warriors fans in Bulawayo, after ZIFA controversially changed the venue for the Zimbabwe-Botswana AFCON 2021 Group H qualifier from Emaghumeni to the giant stadium in Harare citing lights issue, a claim which the Bulawayo City Council vehemently denied.
