By A Correspondent| A female officer cannot under any circumstances escort male prisoners, as an analyst tells ZimEye.com, but on Wednesday one of them stationed at Harare Remand Prison was held by the neck by two male prisoners at Harare magistrates court as she was escorting the accused from court to prison cells.

She managed to bite the fingers of one the prisoner. She cried for help and an alert prison officer of the Special Tactics Unit named CO1 Matinyarare came to her rescue and arrested the two prisoners who were appearing at Harare magistrates court on charges of rape and robbery.

The two prisoners are now being charged of attempted escape and attempted murder and were transferred from Harare Remand prison to Chikurubi maximum prison.
