Farai Dziva|Prominent human rights defender Tatenda Mombeyarara has challenged Emmerson Mnangagwa’s government to release “political prisoners” Last Maengahama and Tungamirai Madzokere because they are innocent.

I stand in solidarity with Last Maengahama and Tungamirai Madzokere.

Jailing innocent people and breaking families for political expediency is a very cruel deed.

I spent some weeks last year sharing a cell with Last Maengahama at Chikurubi Maximum Prison and his tragic story of persecution is heart rending.

Yesterday they came for Last and Tunga,today they came for me,tomorrow it could be you.We cannot standby and watch.

Today their appeal is being heard at the Supreme court and I add my voice in demanding their freedom!
