President Emmerson Mnangagwa has announced a 21 day lockdown to contain the deadly coronavirus currently sweeping across the world.

Addressing the nation this evening, Mnangagwa said the lockdown will start from Monday with all shops closed, public transport suspended save for water and ZESA workforce who have been allowed to work to ensure uninterrupted provision of the basic services.

Mnangagwa said the army will be used to ensure compliance with directive.
