Farai Dziva|Microsoft mogul Bill Gates has strongly opposed US President Donald Trump’s decision to stop the funding of the World Health Organisation programmes.

Trump declared the United was stopping funding of WHO programmes as he was unhappy with what he described as the organization’s bias towards China -as the deadly Coronavirus pandemic continues to cause havoc.

In response Bill Gates tweeted:

Halting funding for the World Health Organization during a world health crisis is as dangerous as it sounds.

Their work is slowing the spread of COVID-19 and if that work is stopped no other organization can replace them. The world needs @WHO
now more than ever.
