Farai Dziva|Emmerson Mnangagwa has been accused planning to push Chiredzi villagers out of their ancestral land to create space for his sympathisers.

In a statement, the councillor for ward 18, Chiredzi West Constituency, Gilbert Mutubuki accused Mnangagwa of “pushing for the eviction of local villagers” to create space for Dendairy, a company reportedly owned by his friends.

Said Mutubuki:

“The plan to evict people from their ancestral area and grow grass for cattles will not work.

The plan by government to remove people in Chambuta,Chipinda,Velemu,Chibwedziva and Masivamele in Chikombedzi will face povo resistance.

We are not going to fold our hands and watch people being evicted from their land.

Dendairy owners are close to Mnangagwa and he is rewarding his friends with our land.”
