ZANU PF is set to hold an ordinary session of the Politburo today at the party headquarters in Harare.
The ruling party’s supreme decision making body between congresses sits at a time that government has ordered the National Pharmaceutical Company (NatPharm) to cancel all contracts for the supply and delivery of medicines and surgical sundries by Drax Consulting SAGL a company with links to the first family in clandestine financial deals involving government funds.
The party is also expected to discuss progress Government has made in fighting Covid-19 as the country’s cases hit over 300.
In a statement yesterday, Acting Secretary for Information and Publicity Patrick Chinamasa said: “The Secretary for Administration, Cde Dr OM Mpofu wishes to advise all members that there shall be a Politburo meeting to be held on Wednesday 10 June, 2020 at the party headquarters commencing 1000hrs. All members are expected to be seated by 0945hours.”
