Opposition MDC Alliance Spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere has questioned President Emmerson Mnangagwa over the newly gazetted Freedom of Information bill saying it serves no purpose when the civil liberties are not respected.

Responding to Mnangagwa who posted on Twitter that the new Freedom of Information bill was step towards creating a more accountable and transparent, Mahere said the state was abducting and sexually assaulting citizens, police were shooting people while the army was invading private properties.

She also questioned the closure of the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange among other things the state was involved in.
