Zimbabwe on Wednesday recorded 214 new coronavirus cases bringing the total number of known cases to 2034.

The new infections include 123 returnees from South Africa, 1 from Zambia and 90 local cases who are isolated.

The Ministry of Health and Child Care announced in a statement that 15 of the local cases are contacts of known confirmed cases.

The statement also observed that recoveries were now at 510 after 22 more people recovered on Wednesday while fatalities remain at twenty-six (26).
