Cllr Chiwaya of Ward 4 in Karoi was laid to rest at the Karoi cemetery.

Thousands of people attended to pay their last respects.

The National Deputy Secretary General Hon Concilia Chinanzvavana, National Organising Secretary Hon Amos Chibaya and other National members also attended to pay their last respects.

Visibly angry youths sang revolutionary songs and expressed their anger at Cllr Chiwaya’s murderers.

It is sad to note that the regime felt threatened. By the mere attendance of thousands of people at Cllr Chiwaya’s Funeral, the police in it’s wisdom or lack of it were there ordering many MDC Alliance to go back to their homes.

Thank you to all who dug deep into their pockets and extended their hands to assisting the family.
