Norton member of parliament Temba Mliswa has rubbished widespread accolades on former Minister of Energy Fortune Chasi claiming that he does not deserve the praises he is getting for efficiently running the provision of electricity in the country.
According to Mliswa, the accolades must be directed at corruption linked reinstated ZESA boss Sydney Gata.
Gata is a known in law of President Emmerson Mnangagwa who is also a brother to Mliswa.
Mnangagwa on Tuesday reinstated Gata who was suspended by Chasi on corruption charges before Mnangagwa recalled him from being Energy Minister. Analysts linked Chasi’s dismissal to his move to suspend Gata.
Wrote Mliswa on Twitter while celebrating the reinstatement of his in law:
“Contrary to public belief Fortune Chasi played to the gallery and played the victim whilst all the while giving into corruption. He went on social media & said the right things to gain popularity but unfortunately isn’t sincere/honest. His deeds didn’t match his words.
Dr. Gata has been instrumental in ensuring uninterrupted power supply. We await the outcome of the investigations….
