News just received indicate that the Zimbabwe Council of Churches liaison officer Reverend Samuel Sifeli has died.

Highly placed sources told ZimEye.com that Rev Sifelani died on Tuesday evening near a friend’s place in Sunninghill Suburb of Bulawayo.

The sources indicated that Sifela was crashed into a powerlines pole while trying to jump inside his car which had broken into motion with no one inside it.

The sources indicated that the Reverend had driven into an open ditch on the side of the road. In the process of removing the car from the ditch, the vehicle went loose resulting in the now deceased reverend chasing after it.

As he tried to jump into the car he was squashed by the car onto a powerlines pole killing him on the spot.

Sifela had a few minutes before the freak accident presided over a ZCC meeting in the city in the ongoing Zimbabwe Alternative Mining Indaba.
