It is no longer aluta continua but loot continua in Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Banana Republic disguised as a Second Republic.

Forget about Mnangagwa’s deceptive and smokescreen anti-corruption body which he said would work closely under the supervision of President’s Office in the fight against corruption.

The arrest of Henrietta Rushwaya at Robert Mugabe Airport in a gold smuggling manoeuvre lays bare the rot inside Mnangagwa’s New Dispensation.

That Rushwaya is a close relative to Deputy Chief of Staff in Mnangagwa’s Cabinet clearly lays bare a well knit corruption syndicate that is run right from the Office of the President.

What of Steven Tserayi, Rushwaya’s accomplice in the looting syndicate?

Tserayi is a member of the Central Intelligence Organization (CIO), an organization whose members pride themselves as from the President’s Office.

What this entails is that the President’s Office is now the new breeding ground of corruption.

Rushwaya, Tserayi and company are just a tip of the iceberg to the rampant corruption that is brewing right inside the Office of the President.

After all this overwhelming evidence of corruption, should we cry against sanctions as our number one enemy?

Certainly no!

Until there is change of guard in the Office of the President, it is loot continua and never aluta continua against corruption.
