Farai Dziva|The Zanu PF administration is using the police to silence MDC Alliance councillor for ward 18, Gilbert Mutubuki who is fighting for the rights of landless residents.

Mutubuki received papers from the police on Friday morning instructing him to appear in court on November 5 for allegedly inciting public violence.

“I have just received summons from Zimbabwe Republic Police Triangle today.

I am being charged with Inciting Public Violence last year in Ward 18, Chitepo Village.

No amount of intimidation will stop people power.

We are going ahead with redistribution of Land from land barons to ordinary citizens.

Let me assure Zanu PF regime that we are going ahead, no turning back,” Mutubuki said in a statement.

MDC Alliance youths and pressure groups have also petitioned the Chiredzi District Administration over the victimization of people living with disabilities by Zanu PF for Chiredzi West Farai Musikavanhu.

Musikavanhu said those living with disabilities should not support the opposition.

“MP Musikavanhu openly insulted people with disabilities.He instructed the Social Welfare to remove people with disabilities who support the MDC Alliance from the list of beneficiaries, ” a government source told ZimEye.com.
