Killer T’s Comment Sparks Controversy

Zimdancehall chanter Killer T has been blasted by his fans on his Facebook page yesterday after he posted his picture with First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa wishing her a happy birthday.

The picture was captioned, “l just wanna say Happy Birthday Kuna Amai Mwari akuwedzerei makore akawandisa ekurarama muchengetwe naIshe nhasi izuva renyu enjoy your birthday Momz??.”

The post attracted more than 8k comments with most people reacting negatively.

Bindura mayor Brian Kembo (MDC) said Killer T is seeking hero status which he will not get.

“I know zvawazviitira manje hauiitwe hero,” he said.

“Wakufarisa Killer T,” said one Tete vaNoku.

“Amai vaani? Wakudziirwa manje,” Taku Dzumbunu wrote.

Another fan Priscillar Mtungwazi said, “Izvo ita wega hako.”

Tendai Valentine Ruomba blasted the musician for dining with Mnangagwa.

“Ah makuda kupera mukuru siyana nechembere idzo we listen to your music to escape the pain caused by these same people saka respect our feelings don’t fine navo avo.”

Meanwhile, some fans believed there was nothing wrong in him wishing the First Lady a happy birthday.

“Atadzei Chairman veduwe..Wishing someone good health and many more years imhosva here..Magara hamuuye kumaliveshows ake Chairman vazhinji hamuna help yamunomupa mulife make so don’t control him itai yamunoita imimi,” wrote Tinofara Shango Mushangwe.

Caroline Tafadzwa Mudadi said people should leave Killer T alone since if invited for an event by the first family is money to him unlike the majority who do not buy his music but share it.
