Deputy Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet in charge of Presidential Communications, George Charamba has subtly confirmed that Zimbabwe has already deployed soldiers to Cabo Delgrado, Mozambique.

Posting on Twitter using his @jamwanda handle, Charamba said;

DON’T EXPECT IMAGES OF OUR MEN AND WOMEN IN FATIGUES: It is not the tradition of ZDF to deploy in the full glare of the media. We know well enough what’s never done ahead or during operations. I am just saying zvangu!!!!

This followed questions from social media users on why Zimbabwe had not offered assistance to Mozambique like other countries including Rwanda.
