COS SCAM: PASTOR ALBERT DELALI YEVUGA.

This is the account of my experience with Pastor Albert Delali Yevuga, who was introduced to me by my uncle around the 24th of July, 2023. During our first conversation, Pastor Delali told me he could arrange for Certificate of Sponsorship (COS) papers, which would be provided by a man named Samuel Tonga. After the payment was made, we had a three-way call with Samuel Tonga, who assured us that the papers would be delivered within three weeks. A total of £16,500 was transferred to Pastor Delali for three COS papers for my friends and colleagues from work.

Pastor Delali claimed to have transferred £15,000 to Samuel Tonga, while giving the £1,500 to a white man at isles of man to aid in registration of a company that would be issuing the COS papers. This would enable the company to help foreign workers get hired. The individuals who paid for the papers were asked to send their details, which they did. Later, a man named Justin began communicating with them, sending job application links. We were told that Justin had direct connections to jobs.

When I raised concerns with Pastor Delali about who Justin was, he assured me that Justin was working with Samuel Tonga.

However, after several weeks, nothing happened, and I requested a refund.

I trusted Pastor Delali due to his title and the fact that he was a classmate to my uncle. I even told him that I was prepared to travel to the UK to demand my refund in person. This decision caused me to incur more debt. Upon arriving in the UK, I met with Pastor Delali and my uncle (they were classmates from Ghana). Pastor Delali made several promises, assuring me that he was working on the issue.

I began calling Samuel Tonga, but he never answered my calls. I questioned Pastor Delali about Samuel’s lack of response. After eight weeks with no progress, I sent messages to Delali, but he always gave excuses, such as being busy or driving. Eventually, he put Samuel on a call with my uncle. During that call, my uncle became furious as we discussed the situation. I personally contacted Samuel, who told me that Pastor Delali had only given him £12,500, and of that, Samuel claimed to have passed on £7,000. Samuel said he still owed the remaining amount, while Justin initially denied receiving any money but later admitted to receiving £6,000.

In the end, Pastor Delali told me that he would now pay me £1,500 ending of October, and that the rest of the money would come from Samuel. This was two weeks ago, shortly after I sought assistance from ZimEye.

Since then, Pastor Delali has also made legal threats, despite still owing me money.

He has gone quiet since then. I’ve tried numerous ways to resolve this, but it appears he has taken all my money. When I was still in Ghana, he even threatened that if I flew to the UK, he would make sure I wouldn’t be allowed to enter the country.

I now believe this was all a scheme to take people’s money.

Every time I try to communicate with him, as witnessed by ZimEye during interviews, Pastor Delali diverts the conversation, talking about irrelevant things instead of addressing the core issue. Several meetings have been held, but none have led to a resolution.

Pastor Delali has been contacted many times for comment, but he has not provided a final statement at the time of writing. #cosscam. #cosfraud
