By A Correspondent| The government has released a Statutory Instrument detailing new traffic fines with US$20 being the highest amount one can pay.

In the past, motorists have lost money to corrupt traffic police officers due to exorbitant fines which has now been rectified in a move that is likely going to discourage underhand dealings.

For failing to register a motor vehicle, a motorist will be charged US$20 the same as using a number plate assigned to another vehicle.

Failing to display a vehicle registration which has often been abused by the police and municipal officers will now attract US$10.
