Local Government Minister Saviour Kasukuwere has suspended Harare Mayor Ben Manyenyeni over the new Town Clerk battle.
Manyenyeni confirmed the development this afternoon, saying he had been suspended by Kasukuwere for alleged disobedience and insurbodination.
“Just to let you know that I have received a letter from the minister that I am suspended both as councilor and mayor with immediate effect,” Manyenyeni said.
MDC leader, Morgan Tsvangirai said today his party was taking Kasukuwere to court over his interference in the running of Harare.
