Mawarire Smear Exposed On Shock Video Scam

A video recording of Pastor Evan Mawarire doing the rounds on social media has been exposed as fake. In the video Mawarire seemingly thanks Zimbabweans that he got asylum in the USA, is now eating Mcdonalds and drinks clean water.
So comical is the video when it plays a voice over of ‘Mawarire’ imploring Zimbabweans “even vana gogo varikumusha they can hashtag hozi, they can hashtag mambaira.”
ZimEye.com found that the video was force stitched onto an old footage of the pastor in a self revealing mismatch. The video is below:
