Zim People First has been hit by 2 more senior resignations.

Mujuru who yesterday expelled 7 key members of her decision making committee, and was early this morning rejected by Mr. Sylvester Nguni, has now been deserted by two others.

Founding members Cougan Matanhire and Prosper Gavanga have in the last few minutes written to Mrs Mujuru telling her they are with immediate effect walking away. Wrote Gavanga who was the party’s Deputy Youth Chairperson, “…I have lost hope in you for a better Zimbabwe and now considering the future … ”

Matanhire wrote his own letter saying, “After careful self- introspection and soul searching I have decided to tender my resignation from the Party of my own volition.”

Meanwhile, ZimEye is reliably told two separate National Council meetings are slated for this afternoon with Mujuru conducting her own at her private residence in Chisipite. She has however garnered support from 9 out of 10 provinces meaning she will likely win over the attempt to wrestle the party from her hands.

More to follow…

  1. You are right many people do not care about a leader’s ability but look how many times have those people been betrayed by such leaders.

Those of us who know ability is important must take the responsibility to educate the myopic ones who continue to elect corrupt and incompetent people like Tsvangirai and Mujuru as leaders of their folly. The Zimbabwe situation is such a mess that many people are beginning to question the ability of people like Tsvangirai and hence the reason why Tsvangirai has failed to attract the huge crowds of 2013.

You can convince a blindman he is having rice and not maize samp but not so with hot chilli, he will know the difference. Many Zimbabweans know that Tsvangirai fcuked big time, they may not know how and when, just as they know Mugabe fcuked big time but cannot explain.

The people are ready to learn what they need to look for in the leaders who will get them out of the hell-hole. What has been lacking is the teachers to point them in the right direction!

  2. So you think Zim PF supporters are attracted by Mutasa, Gumbo etc? Ohhh please be real.

This is not about how you feel about her or whether you and I like her or not, or what we think about her; her capabilities etc etc.

Unfortunately our unsophisticated voters are attracted by other things other than abilities. Face the reality mfowethu.

This is the truth. Those resigning will go nowhere; unless they rejoin ZANU PF!!

  3. People like Nguni can avoid addressing the political reality that ZimPF imploding will give strength to Zanu PF rigging the elections with ease!

  4. They did not have a constitution as yet but still I agree with you, she should have consulted others in the interim leadership positions and not acted alone as seems to be the case here.

  5. What political gravitas does Mai Mujuru have other than that she was promoted to a post way above her level of competence by a tyrant who loves to surround himself with useless simpletons and buffoons for his selfish person gain!

  6. After 34 years in power there is really nothing anyone can say Mai Mujuru has ever accomplished other than play her role in the establishment of the tyrannical regime and get her lion’s share of the spoils of power. Mai Mujuru is corrupt and incompetent and it is surprising that some people have failed to see this!

  7. thats true but there are a lot of question marks if this party has a constitution were they not supposed to hold disciplinary hearings first? As much as I don’t like these former Zanu guys they are right this woman is displaying dictatorial tendencies!!

  8. In this whole ZimPF, quite frankly I dont see any one else who has political gravitas, other than Mujuru. So, I really dont understand what these so called resignations mean. In my view, the support on the ground this political outfit has garnered so far is all due to Mujuru. To be honest, as to Gumbo, Mutasa, Nguni, etc – as to whether they are in or out; I dont think it makes any difference!!
