Irate workers at the Mineral Marketing Corporation(MMCZ) have accused the company’ s Acting General Manager Masimba Chandavengerwa of telling blue lies to the nation.

Chandavengerwa was at pains to defend the $ 2,9 million cash donation to the ruling party, Zanu PF when he appeared before the Parliamentary Public Accounts Portfolio Committee yesterday.

He claimed that the corporation donated the money to Zanu PF as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.

However workers at the corporation accused the top management of neglecting the employees’ concerns in a desperate bid to please Zanu PF politicians.

In messages that are circulating on social media the workers argue they are underpaid while their bosses are patronising the ruling party.

“Our bosses must tell whole nation the truth.

They are using public funds to bankroll Zanu PF programmes.Is Zanu PF a charity organisation?

Let them channel the money towards the payment of workers,” reads a message that is circulating on social media.
