A traditional leader who is closely related to President Emmerson Mnangagwa, has been appointed the substantive Headman Manhovo in Chirumhanzu.
Pedzisai Pasura, believed to be a Mnangagwa ally, used his political influence to land the post, according to disgruntled local villagers.
Chirumanzu District Administrator, Tapson Chivanga confirmed the appointment but would not comment on the political implications of the development.
Pasura, of Gudo Village, was handpicked by Mnangagwa according to local villagers.
“He(Pasura) was handpicked by President Mnangagwa. The who thing was carried out fraudulently,” claimed a local villager.
