MDC mayors and councillors have contributed to the mess in the country’ s major cities and towns, political observers have said.

In a Facebook message posted yesterday, Honest Rwodzi wrote:

To my MDC-T Comrades,
While I am aware of Central Government’ s interference with local authorities’ affairs, the councils you are run particularly in
Bulawayo and Harare – you guys leave a lot to be
desired.

How can you insult us by
giving us financially illiterate councillors
who can’t even read a balance sheet?

Just a word of advice during the coming elections, many
will not vote for a candidate simply because he or she
belongs to a certain party, the CV will matter.

It’s
going to be strictly based on merit.

I suggest that you draw lessons from what happened to Ben
Manyenyeni and Councillor Moyo(Bulawayo Mayor). We are tired of excuses.
