Former Dynamos defender Tapfumanei ‘Dodo’ Gweshe has died.

He succumbed to Esophageal Cancer Tuesday at his family home in Chitungwiza. He was 34.

Gweshe’s football acumenship was spotted by Dynamos Football Club during his school days and rose through the team’s youth policy and was later loaned to Sundowns before being part of the famous KidzNET team alongside Leo Kurauzvione, Trymore Mtisi, Norman Maroto around 2004 to 2006.

In the 2004 season he scored an early opener against Sporting lions in a game which Dynamos won 3-0.

Gweshe is survived by his wife Angeline Chivere and two children, Sasha and Wayne.
