A Chivhu based police officer allegedly shot himself last night in a shocking suicide case.

Constable Pedzisai of Chivhu District Police Station allegedly shot himself under the chin while on duty last night, according to preliminary details.

“There was a suicide case at ZRP Chivhu District HQ last night. Constable Pedzisai
number 059854H- stationed at ZRP Chivhu was on guard duties at the said DHQ and shot himself using an FN Rifle- which was loaded with 7 rounds.

He used one round to shoot himself under the chin,” police sources said.
