For the first in more than a decade, an independent aspiring MP has managed to hold a massive roadshow comprising more than 20 vehicles in the city of Masvingo.

Aspiring independent aspiring MP for Masvingo Urban Constituency, Sam Chapfudza, who is a vendor at the popular Chitima Market in Masvingo has vowed to fight for the right to represent the poor and the marginalised in the community.

Chapfudza said the roadshow has been held in preparation for a Mega Rally scheduled for tomorrow.

“Tomorrow we will hold a Mega Rally and as an independent candidate, I represent the interest of the majority of the people of Masvingo,” said Chapfudza.

“I also represent the needs and concerns of vendors and those in the informal sector.I have an inclusive approach towards the development of the constituency,” added Chapfudza.

In Masvingo Urban Constituency there are three frontrunners among the nine candidates who are vying for the Parliamentary Seat.

Chapfudza, Zanu PF’ s Taguma Benjamin Mazarire and Jacob Nyokanhete of the MDC Alliance are the three main contenders for the seat.
