By Own Correspondent| Questions have been raised on whether there is a link between failure by the Zambian authorities to harbour MDC Alliance principal Tendai Biti and give him political asylum and  developments where Zambian President was one of the first African presidents to congratulate President elect Emmerson Mnangagwa when he took power from former president Robert Mugabe.

Zambian President Edgar Lungu was one of the first African presidents to send a congratulatory message to President Mnangagwa following his inauguration on November 24 2017.
