Own Correspondent|FC Platinum are still hopeful of progressing to the later stages of the CAF Champions League and want nothing short of a victory against Horoya at Barbourfields stadium on Saturday, a senior player has said.
Platinum tumbled in Tunisia when they lost 0-2 to giants Esperance recently.
They had played a nill all draw with South African giants Orlando Pirates in Bulawayo.
Hopes were high the Pure Platinum Play was ready to make another record of qualifying for the semi finals but they bubble burst in Tunisia.
Now they want to redeem themselves in contention for a last eight position by winning games.
FC Platinum vice captain Gift Bello said they have put behind them the loss against Esperance and now want to win the match against Horoya if they still want to entertain chances of progressing to the next round.
He said they did not deserve to lose in the fashion they lost to defending champions Esperence in their second CAF Champions League Group B match in Tunis barely two weeks ago.
“I am positive we will win our Horoya game and make up for the Esperance match.
“This is our golden opportunity of making things right. We know what is at stake here and we are going to give the match our all.
“Its a must win match for us,” he said.
Bello, who has seen it all at Dynamos is positive that they will brew a shocker against Guinea champions.
“We want a positive result as much as Horoya want it. The game will be stiff but i am positive we will come out victorious.
” This is about us making our dreams a reality. We must win the game at all cost,” he said.
Only two teams will qualify to the quarter finals.
However, Platinum are anchoring the group with one point together with Horoya.
Saturday’s game will be a battle of the bottom placed teams.
