By A Correspondent- President Emmerson Mnangagwa and his nemesis Nelson Chamisa have sent messages wishing the British Prime Minister Boris Johnson a speedy recovery.
Johnson is currently admitted to the hospital where he is being treated for the deadly Coronavirus.
Said Mnangagwa, “On behalf of the people of Zimbabwe, I wish Prime Minister Boris Johnson a speedy recovery and return to good health. We stand in solidarity with him and the British people during these challenging times.”
In response to Mnangagwa’s message ZANU PF said they hope when Johnson has recovered he will appreciate Zimbabwe’s policy of re-engagement.

“Thank you Cde President. You continue to lead the Party & Government with maturity and dignity. We hope the British PM Boris Johnson pulls through from the clutches of this pandemic. We hope in the fullness of time, the United Kingdom will appreciate the essence of re-engagement.”
United Kingdom has sour relations with the ZANU PF government which began in the early years of the millennium.

The MDC Leader Chamisa urged Zimbabwe and to practice social distancing to fight the deadly virus.

Chamisa posted on Twitter. “We must remain vigilant and play our part. Social distance, wash your hands & report suspected cases. COVID19 must fall!”
Johnson’s condition is currently worsening and British media said he will be put on a ventilator to assist him to breathe.
