Yesterday Magistrate Josephine Sande withdrew charges against him.

The dropping of the case comes after the State had asked to withdraw the matter before plea saying that Prosecutor-General Ray Goba was yet to peruse the docket. Prosecutor Francisca Mukumbiri was handling the file.

Mukumbiri yesterday said that if need be Matemadanda would be summoned to court.

Matemadanda’s lawyer Beatrice Mtetwa stated that the State should put a specific time-frame to drop the charges in the event that they fail to summon him.

At the end however, magistrate Sande formally withdrew the charges against Matemadanda. WATCH AND HEAR MORE ON THE CHARGES BELOW:

  1. All war vets are immune from prosecution in Zimbabwe. Justice is only for those who did not participate in the liberation struggle. If that judge had found Matemadanda then he would face the music. Citizens are being clobbered in streets all the time by those in military uniform. Signs of an anarchy state.
