Mugabe and Mnangagwa masterminded and executed the blatant vote rigging of the national elections in 2013. Other senior Zanu PF members like Rugare Gumbo were not let into the secret of how the vote rigging was done but they knew enough to know the election was rigged. When the two masterminded and executed yet another election fraud, the Zanu PF 2014 election, they must have known the Zanu PF party members there would be cheating this time around. This will make them now hit back by divulging the party’s dirty secrets because that is exactly what is happening.
Whilst Didymus Mutasa has decided to hit back for the unceremonious way he was booted out of Zanu PF last year by mounting a Court challenge of the unconstitutional tactics used by Mugabe and Mnangagwa in the election. Rugare Gumbo has opened another front by revealing the thug tactics used to win elections.
“Mnangagwa! I have said time and again. As far as I am concerned I have nothing personal against Mnangagwa as Mnangagwa. But I do not agree with his style of operation and he knows it himself, we do not want people who tend to use military tactics, people who threaten people and so on. I do not believe in that, I believe in democracy,” Rugare Gumbo told VOA Radio.
“We know it from experience, because we come from the Midlands. We know what he has done. He buys people, organizes threats and so on and we can’t operate like that,” said Rugare Gumbo.
The shoe is now in the other foot! Mutasa has the challenge to make his illegal procedure charges stand in a Court of law. Now it is Mnangagwa who will have to sue Gumbo, if dares, for defamation – portraying him as a thug who “buys people, organizes threats and so on”.
Mnangagwa’s brutal and very dirty past, which he has tried so hard to keep under wraps all these years, is now coming out and, like a hippo in a fast drying pond, the ugly beast is emerging one inch at a time. Mnangagwa can sue Gumbo or use his tried and tested methods of “organized threats and so on” but that will only prove he has been spooked. Even Mnangagwa must know that if push comes to shove, Gumbo will produce a dozen witnesses of people Mnangagwa has paid to do certain things to “win” elections and still have dozens more witnesses to spare.
After 35 years of tyrannical rule the people of Zimbabwe are sick to the back teeth of tyrants; the last thing the nation wants is yet another tyrant given to rigging elections and denying them a meaningful vote. Evidence of vote rigging and thuggery is probably the worst start one could ever imagine for Mnangagwa’s presidency! Now the cat is out of the bag that Mnangagwa rigs elections there is no putting it back!

Gumbo and Mutasa are not democrats they have played the Zanu PF way too long to be anything but corrupt and murderous thugs the same as Mnangagwa, Mugabe and the rest in Zanu PF.
What is at issue here is whether or not Mugabe disregarded the party’s own constitution is the conduct of last year’s elections? The answer to that is a clear yes.
Given their history should anyone take Mutasa and Gumbo seriously? Why not, particularly those who say we should not are taking the statements from Mnangagwa and Mugabe – who are just as corrupt as Mutasa and Gumbo.
They have no solution on the worsening economic situation and ultimately it is the economy that will force the regime to step down.
I did not need Gumbo to tell me Zanu PF buy votes and threaten its opponents; I knew that already.
Zanu PF increased the number of polling stations from 2 000 to 9 000 just two days before the elections. MDC candidates and election monitors only became aware of these stations hours after voting had started and they were manned by Zanu PF supporters only, no ZEC official.
Why has Zanu PF failed to produce a voters roll?
Zanu PF and it’s Govt government is in power by hook and crook. They frustrate all legal grounds and do not submit to the legal processes.
MDC withthdrew because just like elections, the courts outcomes are always in support of Zanu PF. How can they rule against themselves. You want to take people as fools. Let me tell you something Zanu may not have been rigging elections, before 2008. They now know that people will never vote them so they will make sure they rig the elections before the vote is done. No matter how Gumbo and Mutasa are starting to talk now, that should tell you something if you have any brains in your dunderhead. The Truth is slowly trickling out. Mugabe is a dumb arse who knows he’s the last person Zimbabweans want to be president. He’s there because he’s a tyrant killing people for their choices. And we have idiots like you trying to make good out of a devil’s agent. The Goblin and his crew must GO!!!
Mukori, the fatal flaw with your argument is the assumption that what Rugare Gumbo said is gospel truth!! How can you be so sure??!! Gumbo now suddenly masquerades as a champion of democracy and a disciple of elective processes but have you stopped to consider this simple fact: until his recent ouster from ZPF, Gumbo had no problems whatsoever in being an APPOINTED -not elected!- secretary for publicity & information!! If he was such a stickler for democracy why didn’t he, as a matter of principle, politely decline the appointment??!!
Secondly, you make the grave mistake of being too lazy to think and objectively analyse when you regurgitate the same old, tired mantra: there was rampant vote rigging in the 2013 elections. If this was indeed true, can you therefore explain the following:
[a] opposition polling agents were always present at all the polling stations and even appended their signatures to indicate that all procedures had been done correctly. Why did they only cry foul after the result had been announced??!! Do you even remember Tsvangison even boasting, before the results, “this time we’re confident of winning”?!
[b] if MDC had solid proof strong enough to withstand the rigorous scrutiny that accompanies legal processes, why did they withdraw the court challenges??!!
[c] is it not logical that no matter how sophisticated a rigging system is, it can never over-rule the result of a majority of the electorate resolutely determined to vote for a particular result?! After all, is this not how MDC won the 1st round of presidential elections in 2008??!!
[d] Talk of ballot paper where “X”s would migrate to the box of ZPF candidates is the stuff of science-fiction; and cannot be taken seriously at al by any sane person!!

Or how Mutasa,Gumbo and company threatened and bought votes at Zanu’s Provincial elections in 2013 and last year’s Youth conference in full view of the media and Mugabe?
