Sukoluhle Sibanda|Army captain Albert Matapo(Rt) the government officially links to Vice President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who broke the Mugabe collapse rumour, has insisted his claims that the President collapsed during his Dubai vacation.
Writing in on Saturday morning, Captain Matapo, an alleged Mnangagwa backer charged that the short 4 minute video of the President’s return on Friday evening released by the State Media is no indicator that the President never collapsed.
“My intelligence never said Mugabe was dead but was sick,” he said.
Matapo, a former army captain is accused of plotting to remove President Robert Mugabe so to install Emmerson Mnangagwa, and spent 7 years without trial in Chikurubi maximum prison. His charges are still live with the police despite his release from prison.
“Why were people (the Mapositoris) not allowed at the airport” ? he continued.
When Matapo broke the rumour through his letter, he linked it with someone (name supplied) in President Robert Mugabe’s office.
