By Terrence Mawawa| A senior government official, Ishmael Chamisa has been dragged to court for defaulting on the payment of maintenance.

Chamisa appeared before Zvishavane Magistrate Shephard Munjanja last week. He was charged with defying a court order.

Chamisa (33) is an Agritex Coordinator in Zvishavane.

“You have a backlog of $ 378 following several shortfalls that date back to 2012.

You were ordered to pay a monthly sum of $ 45 to Chistia Matondo and you chose to ignore the order,” read the state outline.

The matter was postponed to next week.
