By Own Correspondent| There was drama on Wednesday afternoon  when Thokozani Khupe’s spokesperson, Linda Masarira was involved in an embarrassing speech accident while claiming that her boss was assaulted by Nelson Chamisa aides on Tuesday.

She said Khupe was attacked by Nelson Chamisa aides outside the Supreme Court yesterday.

Speaking in Belvedere, Harare, Masarira said Khupe was subjected to violence yesterday and they as a party are concerned that the police watched as the abuse continued.

She said, “the routine nature of such behaviour betrays a sense of impunity by those Chamisa supporters, we have only seen in Zanu PF, they have always gotten away with violence they will always get away with violence, and it is time to put a stop to any political violence as we go into 2018 elections. The MDC T has historically been subjected to violence and it is now clear that the MDC led by Dr Thokozani Khupe continues to be subjected to violence. It is also important to note that yesterday the latest of attacks happened in full View of law enforcement agents, and the perpetrators have not been arrested, ” she said.

She was asked if they as a party have made a police report and replied saying that they have not.

She said this was all because they have not yet identified who assaulted her boss. ” we have not informed the police because we are still to identify the people so that they can be traced who they are and where they live.”

There was drama when within the very same sentence, Masarira suddenly shifted beginning to state the very opposite. She said that to the very contrary they have “fully identified 3 or 2 who we have fully  identified to be Nelson Chamisa aides.

She committed another speech accident by changing and this time claiming that the physical abuse she alluded to earlier was only verbal insults(see video).

When asked about violence from the ruling party, ZANU PF, she replied saying there has been none at all this whole year. She said, “we have not seen any violence whatsoever from Zanu PF this whole year for the violence that has come against us has come from the MDC led by Nelson Chamisa,” she added.
