Perennial arch rivals Zambia and Zimbabwe will go up against each other in Sunday’s 2018 Cosafa Castle Cup final after both teams dismissed their semi final opponents to book a repeat of last year’s final.

Zambia reached their ninth final with a 1-0 win over Madagascar while Zimbabwe needed a penalty shootout to beat Lesotho after the game ended goalless in regulation time.

Zimbabwe have won the COSAFA Cup five times while Zambia have won four.

Zimbabwe and Zambia clash in the COSAFA Cup final for the fourth time in six COSAFA Cup tournaments, with Zimbabwe having claimed victory in 2009 and 2017 and Zambia triumphed on home soil in 2013.

Last year Zimbabwe overpowered their northern neighbours Zambia 3-1 to win the 2017 Cosafa Castle Cup.
