By Farai D Hove| Police officers today moved to attack teachers who are on a march from Mutare to Harare complaining about better livelihoods and better working conditions.

The union of rural teachers’ leaders, Obert Masaraure and Robson Chere were arrested in the raid.

Commented Makomborero Haruzivishe: ” Members of the Zimbabwe Republic Police have moved in to crush a peaceful march by teachers who are merely demanding better livelihoods and better working conditions.

“Anti-riot squads have been deployed on peaceful and harmless teachers. President Masaraure Obert, SG Robson Chere and other teachers now in police custody.
