By Own Correspondent| Former first lady Dr Grace Mugabe’s ex- husband Stanley Goreraza has likened President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s love of luxury to that of Prophet Shepherd Bushiri.
Goreraza blasted Mnangagwa and his administration for imposing austerity measures on the ordinary citizens while exempting themselves from such.
He said:
Mnangagwa loves travelling in luxury, even if it costs a national leg. This proves he loves the lap of luxury and it is his preferred lifestyle. He maybe no different from the the Bushiri’s of this world, with an affection for the fancy.
It means Mnangagwa and his government have prescribed austerity and belt tightening for ordinary Zimbabweans, exempting themselves from the same, as per usual with no surprises there. They just recently bought each other luxurious Range Rovers.
Mnangagwa probably believes he deserves only the best because he occupies the best position in the world. But that position should only be filled by those who do their best and produce the best results without feeling that they are better than others like Mnangagwa has been doing.
He has been getting more and more arrogant and that might be as a result of all the praise and worship he receives every day from the obsequious suck ups who revolve around him.
Love for travelling in such obscene luxury is because of obscene ego, just like the Bushiris.
As Mnangagwa’s ego grows, his humanity lessens as the person he only cares about in this world is himself. And the people who mostly responsible for damaging Mnangagwa’s soul are his many praise singers who will sing his praises even if he orders the army to shoot unarmed civilians. You now hear him say “I’m not in power to please anyone” which translates into I don’t give a fuck what anyone says, I’m not here for the people, I am here for me! It’s a loud and clear message.
So after the former President, we have created another monster. No one in his party can dare challenge, question or criticize him. Doing that will attract immediate and severe blow back.
If we want a new Zimbabwe then we need an opposition leader who is questioned, challenged and criticised by his own party. His own party must hold him or her accountable before the rest of us do. Izvi zvekuti wazogara pa chair ini ndisina chair ndo hu Mnangagwa chaiwo.
