FOR some men, it’s a no-brainer to consider having sex with their wives during their periods as they apparently perceive that time of the month to be a “no sex zone”.

But for others, like Knowledge Mushawatu from Nketa suburb in Bulawayo, when his wife Fair Dzapasi is having a period that doesn’t necessarily mean sex is off the table.
This was after his wife bitterly complained that he (Mushawatu) had a fetish for sex even during her menstrual cycle.

As if that is not enough, Dzapasi said her husband was also a habitual philanderer, who repeatedly gets involved with other women, sexually, and with prostitutes as well while still in their primary relationship.

She told a Bulawayo magistrate Racheal Ringisai sitting at the civil court that she felt so pained in her heart every time her husband went for other women.

“Knowledge Mushawatu is my husband and we have been together since 2015. We have a five-year-old son together. He is very violent and has been beating me up on several occasions, the latest being in January this year. He has also been insulting me saying I am a prostitute. He even insults my parents with their privates.

“He is also sleeping with several women including sex workers and after that he demands sex from me. When I refuse in fear of being infected with sexually transmitted diseases since he always has sexual intercourse with several women, he forces himself on me even during my menstrual cycle.

“I no longer feel safe as this has become an everyday thing. He is always threatening that someone will die between the two of us,” said Dzapasi.

She also claimed her sleep-around husband was chasing her out of the matrimonial home.
Mushawatu, however, accused his wife of lying saying she was the source of their marital problems after she told him that she had been impregnated by another man.State media
