The Zimbabwe Electricity Transmission and Distribution Company (ZETDC) in the below note announces that load shedding has entered phase 2 as power generation remains depressed at Hwange.

The company attributes this is due to a technical fault at the plant.

A notice by ZETDC reads: “Kindly note that generation at Hwange is depressed due to a technical fault. Load-shedding is now on Stage 2. Load shedding maybe above the publicised schedules. We apologize for any inconveniences caused.“
