Farai Dziva|The mayor of Chitungwiza has been hospitalized after being attacked by a group of rowdy Zanu PF youths.

The youths also attacked police officers.

“Violenced rocked Chitungwiza as over 50 Zanu PF Youths attacked the Mayor and beat up police details .

The Zanu PF youths beat up 4 police details attending to the scene and anti riot police had to be called in to disperse the marauding youths.

The full council meeting which was scheduled to take place today has been cancelled following the violence by Zanu PF youths at Chitungwiza Town Council.

The Mayor was injured and is currently being attended to at hospital,” a source told Zim Eye.com
