Mzembi Distances Self From “Tyson Wabantu”
5 December 2019
By A Correspondent- Former Tourism Minister Walter Mzembi has dismissed reports that he will deputise former Local Government minister Saviour Kasukuwere in a new political party to contest the 2023 elections.
Posting on the microblogging site, Twitter, Mzembi, who is said to be in South Africa, wrote:
I applaud every effort to democratise our country and wish @Hon_Kasukuwere well in his efforts, for the record I am not his Deputy in the #tysonwabantu nor in any structure.
I will pronounce myself in due course on Zimpolitics and my vision going forward.
Kasukuwere has begun a movement which is highly visible on social media – #Tyson WaBantu – as a launch-pad for his 2023 presidential bid.
