By Jane Mlambo| Opposition MDC Alliance has committed to investigate the involvement of its Bulawayo provincial chairlady Tendai Masotsha in the abduction and torture of ZimLive Editor, Mduduzi Mathuthu’s relative Tawanda Muchehiwa by state security agents.

Responding to people who questioned why the party was quite about Masotsha despite being mentioned in the saga surrounding Muchehiwa’s abduction, Secretary General Charlton Hwende said the issue had been referred to the Security and organising department for investigations.

“We have noted the Allegations made against our Chairlady of our Bulawayo Province and we have referred the matter to both our Organising Department and Security Department for further investigation,” said Hwende.

Party President Nelson Chamisa has also confirmed that the party was looking into the issue saying they will get to the bottom of the matter in the interest of justice and accountability.

“Most appreciated..On it. Action and steps already being taken to get to the bottom of this matter in the interest of justice and accountability. The party will advise,” said Chamisa.
