Farai Dziva|Popular opposition movement, MDC Alliance, has challenged Mr Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration to address teachers grievances as a matter of urgency.

Last week Mr Mnangagwa threatened to dismiss all striking teachers.However, teachers have remained unmoved by Mr Mnangagwa’s threats.

In a brief statement on Monday, MDC Alliance condemned the “tactical” harassment of teachers by Mr Mnangagwa’s administration:

“The MDC Alliance stands in solidarity with teachers who are demanding better working conditions and fair remuneration.

US$35 is indeed a slave wage and an insult to our teachers who deserve dignity and respect.

We join them in their fight for better livelihoods. #ZimbabweanLivesMatter. ..
