Highlights From Finance Minister Mthuli Ncube’s 2021 National Budget

-The 2021 national budget will be ZWL$421,6 billion and employment costs are expected to gobble ZWL$42,6 billion

-Revenue collections are projected at ZWL$390,8 billion constituting 64% of the country’s GDP

-Government projects +7.4 GDP growth for 2021.

-ZWL$30.1 billion allocated to the Ministry of Transport. Of this figure, ZWL$19 billion is going to the construction of the Harare-Beitbridge Highway

-ZWL$1.4 billion allocated to the Ministry of Mines

-ZWL$14.4 billion allocated to the Ministry of Higher Education

-ZWL$10.1 billion allocated to the Ministry of Local Government.

-ZWL$3.5 billion allocated to Ministry of Youths

ZWL$19.5 billion allocated to Devolution

-ZWL$2 billion allocated to the Ministry of ICT.

-ZWL$1.8 billion allocated to the Ministry of Environment and tourism, with a special view on a post-COVID-19 tourism recovery plan

-ZWL$55.2 billion to the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education

-ZWL$58.7 billion allocated to the Health ministry

-ZW$1.5 billion allocated to the ministry of Information including the national broadcaster ZBC

-ZWL$23.8 billion allocated to the Ministry of Defence

-ZW$2.2 billion allocated to the Ministry of Women Affairs
