By A Correspondent- Vice President Constantino Chiwenga has been fingered in the arrest of President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s close ally Ezra Chadzamira.

Chadzamira is also the Zanu PF Masvingo provincial chairman and the Minister of Masvingo provincial affairs.

Chadzamira, who is considered a strong ally of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, was arrested early this month on allegations of corruption.

Sources close to his arrest said Chadzamira was arrested the same week Chiwenga had visited Masvingo.

“A day before Chadzamira’s arrest, the vice president was in Masvingo, where he addressed sugarcane farmers. It is from this meeting that Chadzamira’s corruption allegations appeared to have emanated from. After the meeting, the VP ordered the arrest of Chadzamira.
