Honest Makanyire| Gospel music songbird Charity Zisengwe has released a sizzling album – which is expected to dominate the airwaves.
From the time she was a child, growing up here in Zimbabwe, Charity was determined to make beautiful and fascinating music.
She has always loved music, but started singing in high school, during which she led a vibrant interdenominational Scripture Union choir for four years.
She began her song writing journey in 2003, while she was in USA. However, she always used to wonder how songwriters came up with ideas for melodies and lyrics that she would hear on radio.
Intrigued, she decided to seek help in order to take her writing and music ministry to dizzy heights.
She then attended The Babbie Mason Music Conference International in 2004, in Norcross, Georgia. There she learned the rudiments of songwriting and discovered how to build a music ministry from the ground.
She went back home and rewrote all her songs. She returned to the conference in 2006 and won the first place prize in the songwriting competition.
Charity constantly hones her gift as a songwriter, combining her love for music with her unique style that blends heartfelt lyrics and beautiful melodies that are reminiscent of her homeland, Zimbabwe.
A prolific songwriter, recording artist and speaker, Charity released two recordings while she was in USA.
After releasing her projects in USA, she received invitations from many churches and ministries there, to sing and speak.
Her music is a mainstay on radio and television around the country.
Now Charity is back home in Zimbabwe music with a brand new worship CD titled Prayers and Worship.
The 8 track project is packed with fascinating songs.
The tracks on the CD are: 1. All Things New
2. Nothing Is Impossible
3. Welcome Holy Spirit
4. Bask In Your Love
5. We Are Hungry
6. Down
7. Every Morning
8. Great Exchange (Easier For Me).
